Social Events

Socials with Fraternities:

Each semester our chapter has a separate social/mixer with each fraternity on campus. The fraternities have a representative that works with our director of social events to plan an event that will be unlike any other. Each social has a different theme to ensure that members of both organizations enjoy their time together. Some examples of socials we've held are: Sigma Nu Shrimp Boil, Pi Kappa Phi Paint Wars, Kappa Sigma Shamrock Showdown and Kappa Alpha Movie Night Mixer.

Socials are a phenomenal way for members of our chapter to meet the other members of Greek Life. Socializing and creating a better community is something that our chapter strives for and we achieve this through our social events.

Formal:

At the end of fall semester our chapter holds an annual formal dance. Members are able to bring a date of their choice to this highly anticipated event. Wearing a long formal dress and men wearing a suit and tie is encouraged.

Formal is a time for members to be rewarded for their hard work throughout the semester. A new tradition that is being formed is the theme of our formal: The Golden Anchor Ball.

Semi-Formal:

Each spring semester ends with our Semi-Formal. Semi-formal is a more laid back atmosphere than formal and usually always has a different theme. Members wear semi-formal dresses and men wear button downs and pants.

Again, this event is to reward our members after a long semester. It is a time to unwind and have supervised fun with their sisters and dates.
